Carnival Fun-April 10, 2010

Marissa, Isaiah, Daddy, and Elijah on the carousel. Around and Around the went.
Mommy, Marissa and Isaiah on the Ferris Wheel. Unfortunately Elijah was too small for this ride so Daddy had to stay with him. This was Isaiah's first time on a Ferris Wheel so when he stepped into the cart he asked the ride guy, "Is this awfully dangerous?" The guy started laughing uncontrollably and let me know that he had never heard that one before.

Elijah had fun in the big rig truck. He always looks so serious on rides.

Marissa was excited for the race car ride.
So was Isaiah!

However, as the ride went on, Isaiah wanted "Mommy" and was not excited. Even though he was scared to death, he did not cry.

Marissa thought it was great because when it went around the short sides of the track, it whipped you around quite fast. Take a look at Isaiah behind her. Unfortunately we do not have an after picture of Isaiah because he began to bawl as soon as the ride stopped. It was hilarious!
Yummy! Yummy! I love snowcones.

Oh, man! I am too short for every good ride!

Maybe if I stand on my tippy toes they will let me on!
It did work for Isaiah that day, but not for Marissa.
The fun house WAS fun. Mommy and Daddy were laughing their bums off watching Marissa and Isaiah run into the mirrors time and time again. We had to let them know that they needed to put their hands in front of them so they wouldn't hit their heads. Uncle Tom and Uncle Chandler would have gotten a kick out of this!

A day at the Alamogordo zoo-Marissa is getting a piggyback ride from Lexi and mommy's friend Vicki is enjoying her time at the zoo as well.
Elijah fell in love with this buffalo statue. He didn't want to leave it and cried for it for a whole week Ga-boe! Ga-boe! Ga-boe (that is how ha says buffalo.

Isaiah's favorite part of the Alamogordo Zoo is the awesome playground. He LOVES it. Can you tell?
Marissa Roo and Lexi

Marissa also loves this zoo because of the playground.

The Alamogordo Zoo is one of our favorite places to go as a family. We go a few times a year. The spring and fall are especially nice since the weather is not overwhelming. Daddy was working this particular Saturday so Mommy, her friend, Vicki, Lexi (Vicki's niece), Isaiah and Elijah all had lots of fun!

Sunny Days

Daddy and soccer girl extrodinaire! She's a ham!
Yeah! I get candy! EEW I don't like this one!

It seems like Isaiah is always in some sort of cosutme. Bat boy!

Pirate Z-man!
Is that Big foot? Yes, it is. He wears a 9 1/2 and he is only 3!

It is a beautiful day in Las Cruces. The kiddos are playing on the trampoline and that gives me a second to post some pictures. Marissa is going to start horseback riding lessons and is EXTREMELY excited about it. Soccer is coming to a close with two games next week. Isaiah, Marissa and Elijah will soon start swimming lessons again. Our goal: for Marissa and Isaiah to be swimming independently by the end of summer. I know that will happen with Isaiah since he already seems like a fish.

We are also looking into gymnastics and dance for the kiddos to keep them busy over summer break.
Take Care Everyone!

Grandma Sue

Good Evening Everyone!

Easter came and went quickly. We were so happy that Grandma Sue came to visit. All three kiddos thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt. This was the first one that Elijah really understood what to do. We also celebrated Elijah's 2nd birthday (which actually was April 6) when Grandma Sue was here. I can't believe that my baby is two. Marissa keeps telling me that I officially can not call him a baby anymore since he is two.

The kids are growing like weeds. Marissa is in Kindergarten and can read quite well. However she is frustrated trying to read Spanish (she is in a Dual Language Class). I like that she has something that is difficult since she seems to take to reading in English and math easily. Isaiah is 3 and into everything. He is quite funny and loves to play his guitar (He tries to be like Uncle Tom), sing and play his drums. There is never a quiet day at our house. Elijah is just beginning to say words. He has around 15 we can understand now. He is great at putting together his Mr. Potato Head that his Aunt Dawn, Uncle Brian and girls gave him.
Have a great week!
